Sega Dreamcast Giga Wing series? Any fans ?

Is anyone a fan of the Giga Wing shooter series?

If so, why are you? what do you like about it? Etc?

i know i've played it. it's been a while and i can't get a picture of Eco-fighter out of my head though >_<
 
they are very good shooters!

well balanced... and fun!

The powerups are good too.... you don't start off with too small of a weapon, and you can upgrade for awhile.

Giga Wing 2 sits right up with Ikaruga as my favourite Dreamcast games.. yet alone favourite shmups.

Giga Wing 2 just has a profound game balance. I'm still working on my No Bomb/No Miss run (last time I tried it I lost a life in stage 6.. rather annoyed by that). The only problem is that playing with the Bombs disabled yields a lower score.
