We love the Futurama voice performers and absolutely wanted to use them, but unfortunately, we could not meet their salary demands. While replacing these talented actors will be difficult, the show must go on. We are confident that we will find terrific new performers to give voice to Matt and David’s brilliantly subversive characters.

John Dimaggio said that there was time to work out a deal and one could very well be made. The Simpsons' voice actors did the exact same thing a few years back (Fox had even started recasting), but everything was worked out in the end. I hope the voice actors come back though because the show won't be the same without the voice actors.
 
Regardless of how much one loves their job, money will always be there to step between it.

Anyway, I hope that a new contract can be worked out... even if the new voice actors should sound similar... it just doesn't make up for the many series gone with the original cast!
 
If they can't get the actors, there's no point in continuing the series.

Yet again, they doom Futurama to failure before giving it a fighting chance.
 
It's the same thing with bands. if the lead singer quits the band it is no longer that band. you do not continue under that band name. Just like alice in chains did. they got a new guy and are continuing under their name. but they aren't alice in chains anymore.

this show has the title of futurama but it isnt anymore. its something completely different.
 
Yeah, even if they got the best sound-alikes that they could, it wouldn't be the same. The voice actors they have are some of the most talented ones in the industry and replacing them would be very, very difficult to do.
 
well i watched Futurama in Spanish so i don't think this change of voice actors really matters that much to me XD.
 
Well we still have a whole year before we get more news about this since the show will come out in Fall '10.
