Entitled: Front Mission Evolved. Yet no system has been picked yet. Hope it's for PS3 or 360. Maybe another for DS or PSP?

with the number of strategy games square-enix has released for the DS/PSP it wouldn't surprise me if it were for handheld consoles

Well I absolutely loved Front Mission 4 for ps2 so this is awesome news!

Official Xbox 360 Magazine reported that Square Enix is working on Front Mission Evolved for Xbox 360, a new role playing real time strategy game in which the protagonist is a heroine. The game will have online duels and soundtrack involved Skywalker Sound. http://www.the-magicbox.com/gaming.htm

Sweet. I may have to finally break down and get one just for this game :D {yes, I love Front Mission that much!}.
 
Oh what? It's not a strategy/rpg anymore, but now a 3rd person shooter? I'm not happy with that direction :-\

and it doesn't look like it could be like valkyria chronicles... where is third person with strategy rpg....

*Angry nerd rant alert* I will not buy this game and I'd urge others not to as well. I was such a fan of previous Front Mission games but to me this is the ultimate sell out. They have completely changed the entire game mechanics simply to be more appealing to mainstream/casual gamers since they think they'll make more money. So basically, screw all the fans of our previous games that got us this far, we don't need you anymore. Lame as hell.
