i was fine with the portable version and i think i will stick with that one unless connecting the 2 unlocks stuff

to me is the fact that is a "modern old school RPG" i really like how they keep stuff old school but still has a modern presentation and feeling in it

Aka Dragon Warrior NES series? Why if it wasn't for Dragon Quest/Warrior, we wouldn't have Final Fantasy.

Because to me, it was just odd that a great franchise would throw a sequel onto a handheld. I'm just used to these great RPG's on the consoles. Granted, games like TWEWY wouldn't really work on a console, Dragon Quest is just a series I'm more comfortable with on a console, whether it be the 360 or the Wii.

each one to their own i guess.

i am just the type of person that consider handhelds as good as consoles so transition from console to handheld never really affects me

not even the slightest.... is a best selling game in japan, but it sells almost nothing in america (at least that's what i remember from DQVIII) but who cares? sucks for those that miss the opportunity to play it

Yup. Just like the Persona series. It's a fantastic series, but doesn't sell nearly as much as it should.

DQ9 has a Wi-Fi shop in the game. It let's you purchase rare items from time to time (varies each time I suppose).

i like this feature, they are using it in fire emblem DS as well... i wonder if you can do like in castlevania and TWEWY... set up your own store and your friends can buy from it
