DLC on the Wii is Non-Transferable?

Yeah, I don't even have the amount of VC games you do, but that's the reason I'm not changing my Wiis any time soon.

That really is fail by Nintendo, but on the other hand, they were probably expecting to sell the black Wiis to new adopters, not have people who already had Wiis get it just for a color change.

But they need to do something for the people who WANT the color change. =/

Update 2:

Administrator called finally. Asked me about which GameStop it was traded in at. Apparently Nintendo is going to track down that Nintendo Wii and they are trying to see which options are in store for me. I won't be hearing a call from them until Tuesday or Wednesday since I have to work all weekend and early Monday morning again.

Update 3: They tracked down GameStop and it looks like I will be receiving a phone call or e-mail from GameStop to recover the data somehow. This is getting weirder.

You didn't erase the information on your Wii?

Also, this is weird. You'll probably have to go and recover something via SD card.

Moral of the story? Just keep your friggen white Wii :lol

Or don't buy one at all until they fix this issue. :D

Oh I restored the Wii and before that I closed the account on Wii, which is what the manual tells you to do so if you wish to turn over the ownership of a Wii. The SD Card is useless, it's only assigned to THAT Wii and nothing ELSE.

This is why I make a NAND back-up of my Wii every so often. Well, not that I'd trade or sale mine without first backing up all the data so I could reinstall it, but just in case it gets bricked. In case you're wondering what I'm going on about, if you would have hacked your Wii and had the Homebrew Channel installed with BootMii, you could have simply backed everything up to SD and reinstalled it onto the new Wii with Wadmanager. Yes this includes any and all DLC. Consequently I could help you get all your VC stuff back if Nintendo can't, and you don't mind a little bit of work on your part, just PM me.

Oh..and by the way..what version of the system menu does your new Wii run?

4.3 I think Dr?

Update 5: I called Nintendo to see what was going on. Since the lady/adminstrator had forgotten to mention when exactly GameStop should call or E-mail me. Turned out, GameStop did NOT provide the proper information and now Nintendo is back at the helm to control the situation. Which proves the point, WHY rely on GameStop when GameStop doesn't give three flying flips about what you trade in or what was lost during the trade-in when it isn't their responsibility to begin with. Now what's next? Another phone call from Nintendo soon this week.

That sucks. Best of luck with that.
