Class of Heroes coming to 3DS

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Tonight's looking to be a promising one for Nintendo 3DS fanboys, what with Nintendo kicking off a press conference at 10 PM PST where they'll likely announce the launch date, price, and a few other things besides.

Playing second fiddle to these big tidbits of news, perhaps, is a notice printed in the "coming soon" listings of this week's Famitsu magazine: Class of Heroes, the anime-riffic dungeon RPG first released on the PSP in 2008, is getting released on the 3DS. The new game, called Ken to Mahou to Gakuen Mono 3D x 3D in Japanese, will be released by developer Acquire in its home country.

It has no release date, but that could change very soon now that Nintendo's almost ready to announce the day of the 3DS launch.

We last saw Class of Heroes in the US when Atlus translated and released the first PSP game (pictured above) in June 2009. The series has a Japan-exclusive PSP sequel that came out a year ago, and a third game, developed simultaneously for the PSP and PlayStation 3, is coming out next week in that country.

Stay tuned for more as it comes.
