Bioware?

ThravRande

Darth Revan is watching you.
So I just recently started playing some Bioware games (KotOR 1&2) and I was wondering how the other Bioware games campare to these gameplay wise. I was thinking about getting DAO, but I'd like to have a little feedback before I buy.
Thanks,
TR

I can't speak for Kotor 1 and 2 since I've never played them, but as is usual with BioWare games, conversations between characters have multiple choices with game-changing outcomes. The story of course is rich and deep, and much darker than previous BioWare games. The fighting is basically you running up to an enemy and hitting the attack button...but your character won't stop attacking until they or the enemy are dead, or you issue another command. You can control anyone in your party individually, and the game is not over if your main character dies (as you can continue as another party member until you defeat the enemies, in which all characters come back to life). I believe there's 6 races of characters, and multiple jobs for each one. Also, there's a ton of different endings.

Thanks! Sounds a lot like KotOR, but I was kind of expecting that. Could you elaborate a little more about the storyline?

Dragon Age Origins is more of a swords and magic RPG. But, it's a very very mature title. Several difficult choices come about. If you choose to play an Elf, you're treated as a second class citizen for instance. You do get the sex scenes in (it's brief compared to Mass Effect). I love KoTOR and I love Dragon Age Origins. I wholeheartedly recommend it. :)

Umm, I don't wanna give too much away without ruining the story. But your character is being looked at to become a Grey Warden (a heroic group of warriors who destroyed the evil threat previously), because the evil is now back. To summarize,
you Become a Grey Warden
, and get tossed into a dark story full of deceit and bloodshed. :)

Alright, tell me a little about Mass Effect, I'm curious now. :p

Mass Effect to me is best described as a 3rd person shooter with heavy RPG elements, like the deep story, multiple dialogue choices which have game changing effects, and so on.

And Mass Effect is about capturing a rogue Spector (I think that's what they were called) capable of bringing back an extinct dangerous race called Geth that can destroy the universe.

Something along those lines. :-\ I really liked it though, even though I never got to beat it. >:(

Oh, well, honestly I prefer game where you get to sword fight, But I can stand a good shooter if it's got a decent storyline. =D
