One thing you must never tell people...at a tournament....is Marth or Roy is playable....you can kiss your chances of winning if up against one of those two :)

Marth is a mean guy - but I have more trouble facing very good Falcons. They're just too damn fast.

I, my self, prefer Sheik.

I'm actually heading to an Atlanta tournament tonight. Smash Aid VI. See ya.

cool :) let us know how you do.

IF you want to have me host up some vids for ya... lmk (of you playing that is).

Marth... he's my fav.... but I've started to suck with him ... and at super smash bros as of late.

Bv :hat

I had always played Mario and simply can't learn other characters. I can play them well enough to get through the game and stuff, but Mario is my best character, with Fox being my second. I bet if I played anyone with actual skill though I would get blown away.

Still, the people I play with are evenly matched with me so its pretty fun to watch the fights.

Fox is an amazing character. Not to say Mario isn't any good..

It's always a blast when you're on an equal skill level, regardless of your skill. I have a bit of the same issue where I only learned Sheik to any real feasible level of playability, but that's slowly beginning to overturn as time goes on. It's taken years, though.

Well the thing of it is, even though you have the same button commands for each character, they all act in different ways (save for stupid things like between Mario and Dr. Mario). Therefore, learning how each character will act and react, their strengths and weaknesses, its all very complex considering how simple the same is.

I used to have some skill with Young Link too, but I would have to play for quite awhile to really get it right.

I don't like Young Link my self, I prefer old Link. I think he's got more umph to him, which he does I guess. He just feels better, though I do like the slightly increased speed of Young Link.

well when playing with friends I like to throw in Mr. Game and Watch and let the hilarity ensue

he's actually quite effective against other light and heavy characters

I don't know if I've said this...

But the Melee community considers Falco to be the best character in the game these days.

Too bad for me, I can't play Falco. Just Fox. He's too different.

You're the closest, everyone else is way off the mark. Falco is considered second best and Fox has been proven to be the best. If anyone thinks otherwise they need to go to Youtube and watch Shined Blind. :lol

Unless the list has changed recently, the top tiers are Shiek, Marth, and the fox, etc. I don't know the whole order, but those two were defenitly on top.

It would be nice if they made all of the characters equally capable of winning in Brawl. Granted, unless every character is the same, some will have advantages over others, but evening it out some.
