Back in the days

As I get older and older each year, I find myself reminiscing about when I was younger, the good ol days. I start to think of things like how I used to spend my time as a child. Watching movies, playing with my toys, playing outside with friends. So as a child, what r some of ya best memories ??

I know for me, I used to love playing with toys. Anything from wrestling figures, to batman figures, but does anyone remember the Food Fighters ?!?! They were action figures that looked like food, but they came with weapons and stuff. Please tell me I'm not the only one who played with these. Prolly the greatest toys ever made. Haha. I'll post some more of my memories after I see some others

My best memories included exploring the woods and caves around my childhood home, playing NES with my family, watching cartoons on Saturday morning, going to the zoo with my friends from across the street, going over to my Grandparents house, and yes, I definitely loved playing with action figures! I had TMNT toys, Ghostbusters toys, and of course, GI Joes! I miss those days a lot.

Awwww man, u r king ! Ghostbuster toys were sick. I used to have the proton pack and the ghost traps, haha. I used to remember when I seen TMNT the movie(the 1st one) Man, that's a great movie. I swear, nothin can ever be better then back in the days. What about Tv shows ?? Like power rangers. I remember me and my friends used to play power rangers, and we would create our own special colors and dinosaurs, haha. This is too funny now, but back then nothin could top it. Anyone remember old school nickelodeon shows?(wild and crazy kids, salute your shorts, what would you do) still lookin forward to hear other memories

Oh I never had the Proton pack, but I wanted it so bad! I had the car, some figures, and their big headquarters building. For shows I watched Dennis the Menace, Garfield, TMNT, Duck Tales, Jetsons, Flintstones, Rescue Rangers, Doug, Rugrats, and yea lots of other Nickelodeon shows I cannot remember. I fondly remember people getting slimed, though. I loved that :D

On one of my bdays when I was a kid, my mother got me the TMNT technodrome(that big station that the brain dude stayed in) I remember doug. I wish they played re-runs of it. I used to watch tales spin, chip and dale, power rangers, Buckey O Hare(I would personally send someone a dollar if they remember the cartoon Buckey O Hare, haha)

Hmm. I think that I was, maybe, born in the wrong time period. There was not any action figures during my childhood days. I do remember having little green army men. I used to really have a war with them. I took fire crackers and used to blow them up. The only video games was, this guy down the street, that was a friend, he had pong for his B&W TV. I remember Matchbox cars and digging out roads in the dirt under the house, my mother would not let us dig in the yard. Saturday morning cartoons from six til noon. Exploring the woods near where I lived and flying paper kites all day long. Trying to adjust the antenna so that I could see Captian Kirk on Star Trek. Now those were the days,....... and they were packed.

Oh NO! When I made this post it became number 404. Cannot find page? :lol

I remember the FOOD FIGHTERS. Private Pizza was awesome and Mean Weener the Hot Dog :lol

Also, I remember BARNYARD COMMANDOS. Sgt. Bacon Vs. General RAM (Sheep Vs. the Pigs)

As for TMNT my favorite figure was the KRANG Body Suit. I waited forever for them to come out with that one so I could reenact the epic fight scene from TMNT The Arcade lol

Yo, I LOVED barnyard commandos !!! I forgot about those till just now. May I ask how old u r ?? Just tryin to see if u grew up around the same time I did

The name Food Fighters is familiar, but only a little. I think I did use to play with them, but other than that I don't recall much.

When I was younger I had Ninja Turtle action figures, and like, one Barbie that someone forced on me (boo for gender stereotypes). I think I cut off Barbie's head, and used her car to drive the Ninja Turtles around along with April O'Neal. :lol

I also loved toy cars. I think I had a ton of Matchbox cars.

My friends and I spent a lot of time just making stuff up and doing that. We'd pretend we were rock stars, or that we were playing live-action Clue, or that we were in Friday the 13th (we even had a Freddy glove!).
