Attention! GameStop are THROWING AWAY Genesis and N64 carts in the garbage!

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Gamestop is literally throwing all Sega and N64 in the TRASH! My friend grabbed 224 Sega games today. They are trashing any and all cartridge games (except Game Boy)!!! quoted from another forum.

It breaks my heart that GameStop would do such a thing to N64 and Sega games..

How can they do this? How can they just throw them away? These games deserve better....this sickens me. >:(

This is one of the ways games become rare btw ;) for those who never knew.

I told you... Gamestop sucks.

CALL ME UP AND GIVE ME THE GAMES... I will donate them to people.

I might try our Gamestops here... although if I show interest, they'll probably try to charge $5 each. IT might just be that one Gamestop... unless anyone else can confirm.

I didn't even know there were still GameStops that even had Genesis and N64 games. The GameStops in my area for example stopped carrying Genesis games years ago, and the only N64 games left were all sports titles.
 
Gamestop sucks and blows and swallows and everything else. Screw Gamestop. Like Frodus said, this is blasphemy.

This is totally unforgivable!! How can they sleep at night?!
What else have they thrown away if the are so disrespectful?
The least they could have done is had buy one get 10 free day for those unwanted games!

Yep, that was Gamestop's policy back in the day. Things would go from $4.99 or less to $.01 and were scheduled for destruct. Most of our old product we quickly would bundle with similar or newer product to sell both at a reasonable price. (example adding a everquest mousepad to the everquest game) Most of the time some of us were allow to pick them over and take 'em home. If no one wanted them, into the trash compactor...I guess in the end they changed things and said that no one got them and they were smashed and disposed of accordingly.


Chances are original stores won't carry them, but those buyout stores that still have remaining stock would. Those stickers don't look like any company price tags that I remember.
 
If I only I lived anywhere near a Gamestop. I would spend my days digging through their trash. Also, I wish I had a Genesis.
 
Yeah, I know, I used to work there. :lol

But the square yellow stickers originated with EB. GameStop used white stickers for everything until the buyout, and then they started using yellow stickers to denote used merchandise while white stickers were put on new merchandise.
 
i am pissed...why would they even attept to do this?? i mean im pretty sure that the gamestop ppl are gamers too

and im pretty that they will get their butt wooped when i get down there tommorrow

On a store level, sure, but I have my doubts about whether anyone on the corporate side is actually a gamer.
