A couple of secrets

Well, I was recently playing an old NES, and I was playing Mario Bros. and Mario Bros. 3 when I came across a few secrets. I thought I might share them with you.

1. In Mario Bros., if you retain your fireball throwing power all the way to Bowser, hit him with about five fireballs. He will turn into a random bad-guy from the game, turn upside down, and fall into the lava, going right through the bridge. You'll notice that when you hit the switch that makes the bridge go down, the bridge stays up.

2. In Mario Bros. 3, there are "warp wands" that you can obtain from treasure chests hidden in worlds 1 and 2. The first on is in the very first castle, and I mean the first castle. If you go to the part where fireballs bounce up out of the lava, and fly up and right against the wall, eventually you will find yourself on a very high platform. Walk until you hit a wall and press up to go into a door. You will go to a room with treasure chest, and inside is the wand.

The other teleprt wand is actually the chest you receive from some monkeys, and they are in world two. After receiving the hammer from one monkey thing, go to the top right corner of world 2. Use the hammer. You will find that world two actually extends farther right, and on the path are some monkeys. (Mind you, I'm not sure they're monkeys, thats just what they look like to me.) They breath fire balls. Defeat them to obtain the teleport wand.

If you know any other secrets, feel free to post them.

There is one more wand in mario 3 and it's in one of the levels in the first world. You press down on a white block for about five seconds and it takes you behind the scenery. Go all the way to the end and you'll go behind the black wall. Go all the way to the end and you'll end up in a mushroom hut with a treasure chest. The wand is inside.

cool topic :)

I've done some of that... but I never did see #1!

You should write some stuff for the Game Addicts section :)

I don't think so. With an emulator literally doing everything perfectly, you can get a time of like 11 minutes.

Ahh congrats..you've seen the video. I had to go back n check. It wasn't 5 minutes..but 11.

yeah, it was a fake video.......i believe one of the things fake about it was it was speeded up.......so maybe possibly in about double the time it could be done
