3 GameStops in San Antonio robbed. Employees DUCT TAPED!

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
My only regret, I should have done that to my ex-boss like Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation. Otherwise, this sucks!

Harsh. I feel sorry for the employees. :(

"That thief also got away with several games" - Well, I hope he at least stole some good ones!

Guns, Duct tape and tying people up? To Rob a cash registrar? If you are gonna go all out you may as well aim a bit higher in the money stakes. They're obviously not the smartest of people, hitting the same chain of stores three times in a row proves that. They'll be caught in no time.

eeeejits :lol

Dude stop defending gamestop lol.

Think Strubes works there, or at least has some friends that do.

The company policy is evil, if not the people who enforce it. But I agree with Strubes, it is hardly unique in that respect.

he works there.

Nah, there's actually very legitimate reasons people don't like gamestop. I'm sure some people are just on a GS hating bandwagon, but most of us truly recognize the problems with GS.

Congrats on 15k posts btw :D

Thank you. :D

But I disagree. Though there may be personal reasons people don't like Gamestop (feel hassled, certain employees not being knowledgeable, etc), Gamestop itself doesn't have many problems. You have to look at it from a business stand point. There's a reason Gamestop is all over the globe and making other companies (Best Buy, Walmart) try to emulate what they do. It's because they've made the correct choices as to what to do to help the company expand. Every retailer has their faults. You wouldn't believe the things I saw while working at Best Buy, but from a strict business stand point, it's genius. Sure I get bored repeating the whole "wanna put $5 on a game?" or "wanna sign up for our PowerUp Rewards Card?", but after seeing the pros and cons of each thing offered, the pros vastly outweigh the cons.

And...well not in this site, but I know at GameTrailers...people will complain nonstop about GameStop, then post a thread about this awesome sale they're having and how they're rushing to get there. Hypocrites. :lol

Just trying to help you see things from my point of view. I do have a friend who used to be like 90% of this forum, but has since changed his stance because of several things he's experienced. But also, not all GameStops are the same. Though the policies may be, the employees are not.

I don't see why an enthusiast has to view Gamestop in the business point of view. I view Gamestop the same way I view Microsoft. I hate the companies but the convenience is nice.

My hate for GS has gotten less by the day. I still don't like them though. The reason is mostly because I've found so many other places to get my games for far cheaper. GS is MSRP throughout all their new stuff to make their used inventory appear more attractive. The only game I paid full $60 for is Dead Rising 2 (worth it, too) and that was mainly to get my game credit train rolling.

I've gotten so many new games and peripherals for the same or better prices than GS's used prices that the only time I step in to a store is when my friend wants to buy something. He doesn't really seem to care about paying full price, which is his choice I guess.

So now we hate businesses because their prices are higher? I can get cell phone service for about $70 a month from Verizon, but Cingular costs $80. So this means I should now hate Cingular? Am I to hate them because they offer me deals and the latest phones? Seriously.

I agree with Strubes.

What?! I think you need to reread the posts again. Particularly mine. There's something wrong with the way you comprehended it there.

Also, if Cingular is costing you more a month, wouldn't you go with the cheaper plan that offers the same features? Your last sentence doesn't make it clear whether you have Cingular or not.
